» Gender: Male
» Age: Seventeen
» Orientation: If there's one male in Anubis House that you would never question on his sexuality, it's Eddie. Within the first few minutes he arrived at the school he was already flirting with fellow American, Nina Martin. He soon fell into this pattern and eventually hits on every female member of the household. Eddie has charm and is rather good-looking and, knowing this, he uses it to his advantage. When he eventually charms his way into Patricia's heart, the one who's never bothered with dating, he realizes overtime he's "falling for her". After which he becomes rather persistent in his endeavors of winning her heart, but it's noted he still "clicks" and gets along with all the females (but he no longer exactly flirts with them).

» Personality:
Eddie's character is first introduced as the typical American bad-boy. He breaks house rules, flirts with all the girls, pulls pranks, and starts out by teasing the toughest house member by calling her Hermione Granger. Character profiles list him as "trouble", but in a way, this is far from the truth of what his character is. While all the above are true, there are certain factors that must be taken into account to understand his actions.

When Eddie first enters the show it's not exactly taken warmly by one Patricia Williams, and it sort of starts off how we see him the rest of the season. Eddie quickly takes to trying to get her to warm up to him more than any of the others, using his charm and tricks to get himself close to her. Doing this is later shown that it's not because he liked her, a contributing factor, but he wanted to be accepted and seen for himself. This fact being later details on when the school finds out his name is Edison Sweet, son of the Headmaster, which he was trying to keep covered up so he could be treated normally and as himself.

And who is he? Well, Eddie's a pretty confident guy. He has an easy way with the ladies and he knows this and he uses it to his advantage. His charm makes it pretty easy for him to make friends among the rest of the House. Everyone seems to find him easily likable at first except Patricia who, to be fair, was refusing to admit she even liked him. He comes off as sure of himself and knowing but, unlike Jerome, doesn't feel the need to use his cunning and wit to try and secure friends.

But he does use that cunning and wit and this goes back to his need to be accepted. He really does absolutely loathe being thought as anything from teacher's pet to the Headmaster's son and, to ensure people see him as otherwise, he does things. Him and Patricia have a prank-off against his father to prove who was the worst behaved student and he only really did this because she accused him of being a teacher's pet. These acts, however, show that there is a cunning side to Eddie. When he wants to he moves around slyly and is quite ingenious in his plans; a good example being when he hires a metal quintet group to play at a formal ball to rattle Patricia's chains, but is able to convince them to play classical music.

Overall, Eddie tries to put on an act of not caring about anything, but once he finds his place in the house and his true name is revealed, this begins to change. He first comes off as a rather lazy troublemaker but, again, this was his need to find acceptance. Later on, he's still rather lazy if he can manage it. Which is important because, if nothing else, Eddie's a loyal kind of guy. He ends up getting forced into the newspaper staff and, even if he didn't want to be a part of it, ends up rolling his eyes and doing his job anyway. This is sort of his reactions to everything until he admits that it's growing on him. Until that happens, however, it's only seemingly done because someone needed it done.

Because of his job with the newspaper and relationship with Patricia, we end up seeing another side of Eddie, the side that is both inquisitive and determined. At first, he doesn't really bother with caring about his job until a ghost is revealed on some footage of the house after which, along side Mara, becomes determined to find the truth of the matter. When it comes to his relationship with Patricia, Eddie constantly badgers her on where she's running off to and what the others are doing and eventually ends up stalking her. If something intrigues Eddie he follows it and rather blindly at times, considering his stalking of Patricia ended up with him getting a concussion and tied up by the antagonist. But, overall, he's pretty good at piecing things together and remembering things if he's given correct information.

Eddie is both straight-forward and confrontational, but both of these also make him honest. When something's bothering him, as shown above, Eddie follows it until he gets the answers he wants. In the case of Patricia, he's rather unsure of it and ends up basically giving up asking and just doing at the end of the season. He's a guy that, when all else fails, he acts, but at first he confronts. Eddie tells them he thinks it's wrong or demands answers and, when they're not given, he'll go after them himself. He's honest in the fact that, when he lets someone in, he will tell them everything, if they want it, and excepts the same from them. So when they're not upfront with him on the matters? It bothers him, which leads us to the next point.

Surprisingly, despite outward appearances, Eddie's a pretty just guy. His straight-forward nature makes it easily apparent when he and Jerome team up to stop Joy from lying to Mara and entering her piece into a competition. Even during this he constantly confronted Patricia about where she was running off and looked put-out and upset when she blew him off and often gave her ultimatums. These things, especially in the case of Mara, shows that Eddie believes everyone should be given a fair shot and treated equally (as further shown when he confronts Patricia on their relationship saying he deserved the truth, too). And if they don't get it? Well, he'll figure out a way to serve them justice and let it be known to everyone what really happened.

If it wasn't obvious by now, most of what we see outwardly about Eddie is a lie. He builds himself up and puts up an over boisterous front so no one can get to him, even saying so as much to Patricia by saying "my forcefield is down". It's mostly with Patricia and, later, Mara that we end up seeing this with. He's actually rather insecure which is why he hid his identity and constantly thinks that Patricia doesn't want to be with him or is seeing someone else because of her constant running off. He's not as full of himself as he makes out to be at times, and this is especially shown in his moments of vulnerability around Patricia or when he puts his friends before himself.

The end of Season Two revealed that Eddie was the Osirian, the protector to the Chosen One, descended from the Egyptians, and this is rather important to note. While we don't see it often, Eddie is protective of the people he calls friends. He shows this first with Mara in regards to her fear of the dark, saying he'd stay there with her and, even later, when he and Jerome stick up for her. At the end of the season when it's revealed what he truly was, even with a concussion and not knowing what was going on, he left to find Nina because she needed him. It could be said it was be compelled to do so, but Eddie had no earthly idea what was going on and became determined to keep Nina and his friends safe.

» Appearance:
Eddie's one of the taller members of standing at just over five feet ten inches and, as he's only a few short months from eighteen, at best will have gained half an inch to an inch by being aged up. Overall, he's about your average guy in build. He's neither particularly lean nor particularly overweight, turning somewhere in the middle as he does have a bit of a muscular physique if you ever get the chance to see him shirtless.

Otherwise, there's really nothing else that's particularly special about him. Eddie keeps his dirty-blond hair shirt and styled just to a point. His hair matches shockingly against dark olive coloured eyes. But, other than that? He's your rather average seventeen-year-old who most of the girls canonly call good looking, thank you very much.

» Suitability:
Eddie's actually pretty good at adapting! At the start of the season he's just arriving at a new boarding school in a foreign country, but he easily falls in and clicks with the people he meets. So arriving on Atia actually won't be much of a problem for him in the adapting area. He's also shown that, while begrudging, he'll deal with work if it's given to him--especially if he gets paid for it, so finding a job and working won't be a horrible deal for him. On the point of having sex, Eddie doesn't have a problem with the ladies. He may be with Patricia, but Eddie would figure she'd rather him have sex than die... So, hey, if he gets to flirt and do just that? Then he'll be pretty okay.

So that's it then? Defeat some evil-whack job ghost-spirit thing, become the Protector--whatever that means, to be stuck on some what... Jersey Shore wannabe? ---Yeah, no, I'll take the first magical train back to good old UK boarding school.

What's with it and the ladies wanting to take control? This whole strong twenty-first century women thing's getting old fast if it means things like this. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for sisterhood and all that, but this is a little too far for my tastes.

Well, you know what they say-- if you can't beat them, join them. So, when's the first time you got to do the tango around here? Get kicked out of this ritzy place?

No need to jump on it, seems I've got all day.

» "amatomneslogs" Third-Person Prose Entry:

After the hellish day before where he was pretty sure his concussion had a concussion, still did in fact, Eddie was surprised he managed to sleep peacefully. Maybe all that fuss of defeating some crazy spirit of a former Egyptian ruler that cursed half of his House and determined him the Osirian wiped him out more than he realized. Of course, his mind thought decidedly, anyone who wasn’t completely insane would pass out after that amount of crazy. Concussions, those help, too.

His so called peaceful dream was interrupted by none other than his very own girlfriend. Except she was far too dreamlike for him to have awoken because, really, his Yakker was not that type of girl. Eddie didn’t mind as their kissing escalated into something further, but it almost felt too real to be nothing more than a dream. ’Oh, that’s just great. Even when we shagging you can’t wait to finish early’ Her mocking voice was easily becoming more discernible as a dream when he groaned, reaching a hand over his eyes to rub them. “One to talk, Yakker,” he grumbled out, senses becoming more aware of his surroundings and less in that oddly pleasant and exhilarating dream.

Mind finally catching up, Eddie moved, standing up in a hurry before he realized anything was wrong. Like, for one, he was supposed to be sharing a dorm with Fabian and he was nude. Eddie liked Fabian, but not enough to traipse about for him and the world to see (knowing how Victor and half their house liked barging in anyway). And, two, this was most definitely not their dorm in Anubis house as he looked away. “Okay, what’s going on,” he finally managed in a shocked tone, dropping a hand that had been frozen in mid-air.

Taking the room in, he finally spotted his clothes at the end of his bed. Thankful they were not his school uniform, he tugged on the trousers while getting a good look of the room. “Not that I don’t appreciate the ritzy hotel thing going on,” he mumbled to himself, despite knowing no one can hear him, “but this is getting really weird, really fast.” Shaking his head, Eddie paused briefly when he saw the communicator lying on the bed. “Great,” Eddie continued, reaching down and proceeding to turn it in his head, “new cellphone. That’s one way to try and win a guy over.”

Shoving it in his pocket, Eddie tugged the shirt over his head and continued his ramblings. “I was finally getting used to all the Egyptian references and now they’ve changed it up,” he said with a scoff, “they could really stick with trying for normal once and a while.” Even to himself, Eddie tried playing it all off—there was nothing going on here. It was all still a part of his concussion induced dream, right? But why did it feel so real? There was no way he could think up all of this. Shaking his head to himself, Eddie made for the door but stopped short when he saw the mirror. Hand reaching up to fit around the collar he frowned; panic really beginning to kick in.

His vague knowledge of Egyptian hieroglyphs barely computing that the words embodied into the collar meant ‘Osiris’. Another hit in the stomach about being the Osirian and whatever else his father hid from him now. Trying not to tense or panic yet, he turned away. “You know,” he said decidedly, reaching in his pocket for the communicator as he made it to the door, “maybe they should stick to just one set of Mythology. Geesh, nothing’s ever normal around here.” Pushing aside panic for frustration, Eddie left the room for answers—but how he was going to get them, he didn’t know. Well, probably best to start looking.
